Paul Quinn College is a private, faith-based, four-year liberal arts college founded by and affiliated with the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The College was founded in Austin, Texas on April 4, 1872, and is one of the nation’s 106 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Accreditation: Paul Quinn College is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), having been awarded accredited status as a Category II institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on April 13, 2011; this status is effective for a period of five years. This certificate does not constitute accreditation; it attests only to the institution having met the Board’s standards established for non-exempt institutions.
