The goals of the Department of General Education are to provide students with a diverse liberal arts background for success in their academic career and chosen major and offer students a structured curricular and co-curricular experiences that provide the necessary tools for academic excellence, servant leadership and civic engagement. The purpose of the General Education program is to provide students with a curriculum that will enable them to think critically and be adept at bringing their knowledge and problem solving skills into new settings; they will be able to communicate effectively; they will be able to understand the diversity of the human experience; as well as understand both personal and social responsibilities.
